52 Weeks of Disney: Week 19 - Sword in the Stone
I have to admit, when I saw this week's was Sword in the Stone, I wasn't excited. I mean, I like the film, but its not one of my favourites and its not particularly memorable for me or stands out as a true Disney classic. But regardless I took what I could from it. I do find the film enjoyable, quite funny as well. But for me it lacks something that I can't quite put my finger on. But anyway!
The colour scheme I was most inspired was the gold and red robes that Arthur wore. I love gold and red together, even though it does seem kinda festive! After I took the first batch of pictures, I actually carried on playing and experimenting and ending up doing another look entirely! So you lucky devils have two looks! Let me know which one you like more, I think I like the original :)
And then it evolved
I did prefer the first look, but I thought it would be interesting to show you the second one regardless. I used about 5000 products in this look I swear. In my head I wanted a really shiny duo-chrome look, as I thought I wanted it to be shiny like a sword (get my line of thinking?!) Sugar pill's Love + is very very matte so I went over it with a couple of the shades in the Urban Decay palette to add a shinier sort of effect. I just played around really, blended and smudged until I was satisfied! That is the beauty of make up, its so diverse and at the moment I'm really into creating custom shades by layering.
I hope you enjoyed this week's look! I'm really enjoying this series, its giving me such a creative burst of energy!
