Make Up Look: Mermaid

I don't know why, but I get serious mermaid vibes from this look? It wasn't supposed to come out like this, but I like it regardless! In my head I had a dark bluey green spotlight smokey eye but this came out quite bright and aquatic in the end.

Once again, I used MAC rule in the crease along with a little bit of brown script. I love these for a transition colour. I used the Sleek Ultra Mattes Volume 2 palette and the pretty dark plummy blue for the blue you see around my eye and then patted the Topshop duo chrome in the centre for that pop of light. I think it looks really pretty and I'm not a lover of blues on myself! Seriously take a look in Topshop for some good make up buys, I'm eyeing up the highlighters next!

Make Up Look: Duochrome

I'm having a little bit of a moment with duochrome eyeshadows recently. I'm kind of in love. MAC Club, blue brown pigment, any of the in extreme dimension shadows, get em on my eyeballs. When I cheekily walked through Topshop on my break I saw these perfect duochrome eyeshadows and they swatched beautifully, so of course I walked out with basically every single one they was selling.

Here is a little look I did using the combination of one of the shadows, layered over some very basic smokes. See how it just takes it up a notch. Yaaas.

Look at it in all its beauty! The fact it comes out this startling bluey purple is amazing! Duochromes man... I used the Sleek Au Natural palette in the black and brown directly next to it all over my lid and crease. You could also use MAC Blackberry and Carbon if you had those. I then went in the crease with the purple and blue from the Sugarpill palette to add the purpley plummy tones and then just tapped Wax n Wane in the centre. So easy and so eyecatching. I'm obsessed!

Tell me your favourite duochromes in the comments below! I'm on the hunt!

Make Up Look: Back to Blogging

I love that feeling when you come back from holiday and feel instantly refreshed and re motivated again. Its so important to have time to yourself and every time I go away, I feel like I come back a better person. It gives you time to think and re-assess and I've come back rearing and ready to go. I also had some time to think about blogging and more importantly, how much I miss it! Its hard to find the time to blog working full time and freelancing, but I'm going to get organised and try and find the time to blog more! I've come back today with a look I did yesterday using some products from a new brand called Buxom Cosmetics that I picked up in Sephora. I couldn't get over the quality of these eyeshadows and I can confirm in real life, they apply and blend beautifully!

I used No Faux (which is very very similar to MAC Club and MAC Blue Brown pigment if you have those instead all over, with MAC Carbon in the crease and MAC rule to blend out. Rule is such an amazing blending out shade to give you that great transition if you're looking for one. Plus take a look at that palette, I can't wait to make another! The quality is so damn good!
Also how do you like this layout as opposed to my other post layouts? I want to add a bit of freshness to my blog as obviously its been a while! Let me know if you like the collages or would like it to go back to a list of photos.

Until Wednesday guys! I hope you enjoyed my little return to blogging!
