Beautifully Disney: Fiery Spirit Collection: Autumn Blaze Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Hey all. Welcome back! Apologies for the brief break in blogging, my real life has been hectic. If you didn't already know, I am going to Florida this coming August with my best friend!! We planned an impromptu trip, but to be able to afford it, we are working our little butts off 6/7 days a week! It means I have very little time for my little bloggy blog, but this week I actually had 2 days off, so dedicated that to scheduling some posts!
I have another Beautifully Disney review today! This is the second eyeshadow palette my friend bought back for me from Florida which focuses on the more outspoken adventurous Disney princesses - Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas and Merida. I personally think its fantastic that these characters were given a collection as I much prefer a Princess who speaks their mind, is strong and a great role model for young girls today. The colours reflect their fiery sassy personalities, with strong fierce and intensely pigmented shades, this is not a quad for the faint of heart - and I love it!
As with all Beautifully Disney quads, it is housed in cardboard packaging that in my opinion is not very travel safe as the eyeshadows are very very soft. If you have experienced the Sugarpill palettes, they are very similar in terms of design and pan size. I like the fact that with each collection, the design has got better and better, braver and bolder and this is no exception. I find myself loving every collection more and more, and you will remember the first collections, I was very unimpressed with the design.
Again like previous reviews, I am happy to report that the quality of the eyeshadows is phenomenal. Like the Princesses Autumn Blaze is based on, all four of the eyeshadows are strong, crazy pigmented and perform brilliantly. Each shade I noticed reflects a princess, with the blue I'm presuming to be Jasmine, the fiery orange Merida, the deep earthy brown Pocahontas and the champagne Mulan. Across the board, all four shades (although I wish they had names!) have no problems. They are easy to blend and honestly I struggle to find ANYTHING bad to say.
Again, another flawless palette from the Beautifully Disney line. Improvements I feel could be made is the inclusion of names instead of numbers for shades, just so its easier to explain and gives a slight personal element. We girls love a good eyeshadow name so I would love Beautifully Disney to incorporate this somehow. But other than that, the eyeshadows are beautiful and I can't wait to create some looks using these. I also can't wait to get my butt to Disneyworld and buy all the Beautifully Disney palettes and complete my collection! Unfortunately for us UK ladies, this is only available from the US Disney parks (Disneyland Paris whattya doing!) for $36.95. You can also find it online here along with the rest of the collection if you are living in the US. Its so worth getting a friend to pick it up for you if you can! I very rarely do rave reviews like these, but this has me well and truly IN LOVE.
