Disney Inspired: Red Valentino S/S 2014 - Alice in Wonderland

When I discovered Red Valentino and their seasonal collections based on fairytales, for the first time (well maybe not first) I wished I was made of money. Red Valentino incorporates the classic designs of Valentino with a more feminine fairytale edge and every season, they base their designs on a new fairytale (or something like that, I ain't no fashion bloggah!) This spring and summer, Red Valentino bought out a beautiful collection inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Its girly, gorgeous and graceful with a colour palette consisting of the traditional blues that Alice herself wears to feminine pinks and yellows reminiscent of her hair. I can see where every single piece gets its inspiration from and it leaves me wishing my entire wardrobe was Red Valentino.
I shall leave you with some things I found myself lusting after in particular.

Beautysets - Red Valentino S/S 2014 Alice in Wonderland
1 - Light Green Coat (£640) - How gorgeous is this mint green coat?! Its so perfect for spring and girly and instantly reminded me of Alice. But for that price tag, this is something I can only dream about.
2 - Blue Floral Shoulder Bag (£295) - Again another thing I can only dream of owning (Maybe putting in a few shifts of overtime for??) this dreamy floral bag is perfectly Alice.
3 - Blue Rose Necklace (£165) - How lovely is this necklace? Its so dainty and cute.
4 - Blue Bow Belt (£120) - Another piece that instantly reminded me of Alice, this beautiful girly bow belt would put the most perfect finishing touch on any outfit.
5 - Floral Headband (£75) - While there were plenty of bow headbands very reminiscent of Alice, I fell in love with this little floral one which I imagine would be perfect for summer especially festivals and picnics.
6 - Pink Bow Top (£210) - I fell in LOVE with this piece and its cute little bow detailing. I would loved to have seen it in Alice blue, but this lovely pink version is just SO perfect for spring. I WANT!
7 - Bow Sandals (£210) - Again another piece I adore, I love the metallic finish and the cute bow. But alas i'll stick to my Primark ones and just pretend!

Beautysets - Red Valentino S/S 2014
1 - Yellow Dress (£695) - This dress instantly reminded me of Alice and her bright blonde hair. Its so whimsical with the ribbon tie around the waist and flowy skirt. Anyone got a spare £700?
2 - Polka dot dress with peter pan collar (£485) - On a more achievable end of the scale (I say achievable, but not really) is this polka dot dress with cute peter pan collar. I adore the details such as the floral collar and little waist flouce (which is very Alice non?) and of course polka dots always grab my attention.
3 - Light blue dress (£460) - Another dress that screams Alice to me, I love the little bows on the bodice and cinched in waist with flowy skirt. It is so feminine and perfect for spring time.
4 - Embroidered dress (£640) - I thought this dress looked very Queen of Hearts inspired, with a darker edge opposed to the very girly and pastel prints of the rest of the collection. They also do a wicked set of huge polka dot heels which would pair so brilliantly with this dress.
5 - Jersey Bodysuit (£440) - I just fell in love with this gorgeous body suit complete with tulle skirt and little puffy shoulders. I am unsure where the inspiration from Alice in Wonderland came, but I would certainly feel very lady like and magical wearing this piece.

As you can see some truely beautiful and whimsical pieces which have quickly turned Red Valentino into my most lusted after brand. If only I could win the lottery (maybe I should start playing the lottery first!) but a girl can dream. Stay tuned for the Snow White inspired A/W 2014 collection, which features real imaging from Disney and my my, its a good one. I feel bad wishing away the summer we have yet to have, but I can't wait for its release!

I really want to save up and treat myself to just one thing, but which? If you could have anything from the items listed above which would it be? Lets take a vote!

  9. Love this! I used to really like Japanese little-girl-clothes-for-grown-women style in my early 20's but now I really am wayyy too old to pull it off :) But I've been known to rock a bow here and there in my clothing to girly it up; and I always will :)
