This is Halloween Series: Witch Make Up Look

Hi everyone! So today marks the start of Halloween month here on Blog of Shadows. A months worth of Halloween-y make up looks so get ready for some craziness!
Halloween really is a time you can go crazy with your make up. Some of you might be going out for a night out for Halloween or even going to a party and may be stuck for ideas on how to do your make up! I came up with this easy, dark, villainous smokey eye for those that are keeping it simple for Halloween. It would be ideal for those of you who are going villainous and witchy for Halloween and this is probably what I am going to wear for my night out with the bestie. Its perfect for maybe if you aren't dressing up, but still want to do something slightly different on your eyes and still want to make an effort.
So lets get to it!

I used Lime Crime Styletto for the lips. This is an intensely pigmented glossy black, which always gets a tonne of use from me at Halloween. Its one time of year I feel confident enough to rock black lips and to be honest with you, I absolutely love black lips! I think with make up as dark and villainous as this, you can totally get away with it at any time of year!
To get this look I simply used a black eyeshadow (from a Sleek palette) and blended it all over the lid with a brown in the crease to blend out. I then added my favourite loose eyeshadow (Sugarpill Goldilux of course!) for the pop of gold in the center! I think the end result is interesting, as its dark and villainous but the gold and brown keep it from being OTT. The black lips are a must of course! Other than that I kept my base pretty sheer with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and some contouring with Nars Laguna, no blusher! Lashes are Katy Perry Eylure, Cool Kitty.

So stay tuned, because this month is going to be Halloween overload! Today's is actually pretty tame for what I've got planned (lets just say I stocked up on facepaints AND wigs today!) so I hope you don't mind! Give me suggestions in the comments of looks you would like to see!

What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

  17. Love this look! Perfectly witchy :) The eyes are stunning- especially the pop of gold on the centre of the lid. Like how you can pair it with a black lip for a Halloween look, but you could easily pair it with a nude lip for a night out! Great job :)
