Make Up Look: Autumn Colours

Hey everyone! First of all thanks for sticking with me during my mini break. I actually decided to take a week off for no reason at all. It wasn't that I was stuck for ideas or in a blogging rut, I guess it was more of that I thought I needed some "me" time. I basically blog full time and work full time and while I absolutely love and enjoy it, I took the week off to see friends, go out, play GTA and do a spot of shopping. So thanks for sticking with me! I'm back now, but I think its important to take some you time sometimes.
So I think we are well and truly approaching Autumn territory and while I still cling to my summer dresses in the hopes that the sunshine will stick around, its coming!
Don't get me wrong though, I do love Autumn, especially the beautiful vivid colours of oranges and coppers that show their lovely heads. Leaves dropping from the trees and beautiful cold sunsets, maybe Autumn isn't so bad after all! So today i'm embracing it, with warm colours and tones that you'd commonly find around this time of year and y'know, its not so bad!

For this look I went with the ever so popular Sleek Sunset palette. The shades I used have the little tick icon over them. I also used my very small Urban Decay pencil eyeliner for a softer flick, I felt liquid would be too harsh. I also used Maybelline The Rocket mascara (I've ran out of false lashes wah!) and Lime Crime Candy Eyeshadow helper to prime the lids. I used the Cosmo eyebrow set* for my brows.
I literally could not love this palette more, the shades are beautiful and pigmented, not to forget, PERFECT for this time of year! The array of dusty pinks and cranberry tones make this palette not only great for Autumn but Winter and Summer too, it really is a great all rounder than I use time and time again The stand out orange shade is just as pigmented on the eye. All eyeshadows have a buttery consistency which is common with Sleek and blend with absolute ease. What I'm tryna say is... I love it!
So after this post, I *think* i'm going to be doing Halloween type posts for the rest of the month! I love Halloween and have so many ideas for it so I thought i'd attempt a month of Halloween make up looks! What do you think? I have about 7 ideas, but I need many many more, so any suggestions would be muchly appreciated!

Hey you, yeah you! If you're reading this then please leave me a comment with Halloween make up look requests/ideas/suggestions below. I'd very much appreciate it!

  3. I love how this is still so bright but uses autumn shades! Quite a lot of autumn looks end up using dark colours, so I love this :) I totally agree with having some time off blogging too, sometimes you're still enjoying it but you just need a bit of time to do other 'stuff' :) emmerliejay x

    1. Orange is SO hard to work with, I have tried so many times! I feel like the orange is this palette is a little easier to work with, it might be the shimmer or just the combination of the shades its next to!
