Disney & Sephora Jasmine Magic Carpet Quad: Review & Swatches

Hey everyone. Another day another Disney review. This time I am reviewing the gorgeous Sephora & Princess Jasmine collection quad.

Now in the last collection - The Cinderella Midnight Hour quad - really impressed me. The colours were perfection, allowing you to create an easy smokey eye but also a simple wash of colour all in one place. The detailing made it a real collectors piece and this one is no different let me tell you!

Once again, the packaging. If you don't know already, I am in love with the amount of detail Disney and Sephora put into these. They aren't just "toy" palettes or look like they are designed with little kids in mind. These are for the inner disney fans in women and are created with elegence in mind. Now the Jasmine quad is a little bit more brazen than the subtle and elegent nature of the Cinderella collection but I think that sums up Jasmine's character perfectly.
The entire collection is housed in a magenta pink with golden accents. If you look closely, the golden swirly design houses hidden silhouettes of Rajah and Jasmine dancing. Very cool!

The actual eyeshadows have names this time! This excites me greatly as the four pan quad in the Cinderella collection lacked names which I think disappointed bloggers, collectors and Disney fans everywhere. A huge well done to Sephora/Disney for picking up on this and incorporating it this time! The shades and names are shown on the back of the box inside cute little drawings of the Magic Carpet. Everything down to the barcode again, shows something from the film and this has quickly become the first thing I look for when getting these palettes - I love seeing what they will use next!

Again - the top of the box has a quote on it which I love!
The actual quad is a beauty. The colours and sunset hues are just a pleasure to look at, with the distant shadow of Jasmine and Aladdin travelling on their magic carpet and a faraway silhouette of the palace in the background. Like I said with the Cinderella quad, it doesn't feel like any old ordinary quad, its like you are holding a work of art! The quad itself comes with 2  eyeshadow "brushes" (which I prefer to use for swatching than actual eyeshadow application) and a very generously sized mirror. The quad feels sturdy, but the actual design feels like it could chip away in a handbag if its knocking against stuff.

Beautiful portrait of Jasmine and Aladdin over an arabian sunset.

The back shows the shade names and weights.

One of my favourite things about the palettes are the little quotes on the mirrors.
"Shut your eyes and take a chance"

Now onto the actual eyeshadows, as you can see, they are absolutely gorgeous. The Cinderella quad had 4 wonderful wearable eyeshadows, perfect for perhaps a ball, night out, prom or something along those lines. The Jasmine quad showcases 4 exciting bold shades, totally reminiscent of her fierce character! They are electrical, bright, bold but still wearable. I can imagine these being fun for the summer, for holidays, beaches and festivals. I know i'm definitely taking this quad with me on holiday to add pops of colour to my everyday look!

Carpet is a gorgeous dusty mauve. Its wonderful for all over the lid and teamed up with Wonder by Wonder in the crease. The formula is buttery and while this shade has some sheerness to it, its buildable and pigmented.

Wonder by Wonder is a deep plummy purple. Insanely pigmented and buttery with flecks of purple shimmer in it.

I really liked the inclusion of Splendid although I do feel its a teeny bit similar to neutral peach shade in the Cinderella quad. I love shades like this and they never go amiss in my collection as they are so easy to chuck on the lid in a hurry. Again buttery and soft, a pleasure to blend.

The last shade is definitely the star of the quad. Diamond Sky is a beautiful pigmented and buttery soft blue, very similar to the colour of Jasmine's outfit.

All of the eyeshadows are buttery, soft and silky to apply. They all have wonderful pigmentation and I honestly cannot complain at all. I really like the bold shade selections while wearable you can still add a pop of colour. These are seriously wonderful, I have to applaud Sephora for creating such a nice formulation.
If you are a UK lovely, fear not! Roses Beauty Store is stocking these here. But US ladies will have to scout their local Sephora's as I cannot see these on the website anymore :(

What Disney Princess do you want to see have their own palette? For me i'd love to see Snow White!
