Disney & Sephora Jasmine Collection: Palace Jewel Compact Mirror

Hey everyone. Another Sephora/Disney review for you today since people seem to quite like them.  Jasmine is the second princess that Sephora have bought out with this collection and have embodied her brilliantly with jewel tones, fierce colours and bold blues. Today I have for you... the compact mirror!

I am really enjoying collecting the mirrors they release with every collection and I really hope they continue to do this. As with all the pieces in these collections, the box is just beautiful that I can't bring myself to throw any of it away. Little hidden elements like the barcode and quotes make it truly collectible in itself.

The Jasmine compact mirror is weighty, made of metal and a lot sturdier than the compact mirrors you usually get. The detailing on the front is intricate, with a gorgeous gold pattern design and two magic lamps hidden in the middle. The gold patterning is raised to give a 3D type of effect with the back paneling actually showing the silhouette of the palace at dusk. It is very hard to see and you have to be looking for it, which makes this a nice mirror to carry around with you as people don't necessarily know its "Disney". The outer rim has what I presume to be Arabic numerals - a nice touch since the Cinderella one has old Roman numerals around the edge.

I edited this image slightly, to try and show the silhouette of the palace in the background. The golden paneling is slightly raised, giving a sort of 3D effect.

The mirror opens with a pin clasp that you push in. Once inside you have two mirrors, one more magnified than the other which is very handy! On the un-magnified side, the mirror has a quote going across it:- "shut your eyes and take a chance". So cute and very fitting. Finally the mirror snaps shut with a cool "snapping" sound - always nice as you truly know its shut, instead of it flapping about in your handbag or something.

These mirrors aren't just compact mirrors, but they are conversation starters, collectors items or simply beautiful mirrors that make you feel like a princess. I absolutely love mine, i feel like I have a beautiful classy mirror that is not only beautiful to look at, but feels sturdy and nice in my hand. Definitely worth looking into if you are looking for a nice compact mirror, love Disney or just want it as a collectors item :)

The compact mirror is currently sold out on the Sephora website sadly. As for you UK ladies, this is purchasable from Roses Beauty Store - a new online shop that is currently stocking the Disney Sephora range in the UK! Quick!

Which mirror do you prefer, Cinderella or Jasmine?

    1. Ah no, I meant Jasmine is the second princess to be released as part of the Sephora and Disney collection. Ariel has been the 3rd and last one, Jasmine was their second and Cinderella their first :)

    1. I love all the detailing and as you said intricate patterning. Disney mirrors can sometimes be a bit childish but this one is totally for grown ups with the design and patterning :)
