Weekly Work Look #3: Softly Softly

Hey everyone! So I took a little break from my weekly work look series, as I said I probably wouldn't post every single week. While I try to change up my make up routine every week, sometimes looks are here to stay and I particularly liked my last one, so I rocked it for a couple of weeks.

My spending ban finished a little while ago *cheers* and I knew the first thing I was going to treat myself too. As a Nars lover, I was dying to get my hands on one of their new palettes, in particular The Happening. This versatile palette looked perfect for my holiday and lucky for me HQ Hair still had it in stock! I thanked my lucky stars and checked the website every day to check if it was still there, which when it came to my spending ban ending, it was! Hurrah!
(seems like I may have got the last one too as it has since gone out of stock!)
I love how the palette includes 4 eyeshadows, a bronzer and a blusher, perfect for travelling which is exactly why I bought it. A handy little palette with all my needs for my 2 week holiday! Yay!

So as I veered slightly off course, this look is something I came up with using that. The eyeshadows aren't anything special and can be easily duped (I'd suggest MAC Ricepaper, Quarry and Brun or alternatively the Rimmel Glam Eyes palette in Orion). I am loving the slightly better weather and have completely changed up my make up routine to something softer and more feminine. I've changed from liquid liner for a soft smoked out line and lightly contoured my eye socket. I really like the end result, its feminine and soft, perfect for this time of year and perfect for those who don't want to wear too much make up.

So I hope you enjoyed this lighter look for once. I am actually really enjoying this. I did take my little Nars palette away with me and sure enough used it every day quite happily! However this look is very dupeable, MAC Brun would be a great shade to do the soft smoked liner.
Let me know if you have any requests!

  1. The palette is beautiful. You definitely deserve it after your spending ban, the pile of empties you had at the end was amazing! This look is so lovely, I hardly ever wear make up to work so this is quite inspiring.
