Bronzed and Beachy Make Up Look featuring the Kat Von D Poetica Palette

Hey everyone. When I review a palette I always like to try and do a couple of looks with it to show how it performs. In my last post I reviewed the ever so lovely Kat Von D Poetica palette* and one particular colour was grabbing my attention - Chandler! So I delved right in and came up with this look which really reminded me of summer for some reason. Chandler and the other eyeshadows I used (listed below) created an amazing toned down bronzey hue, which I can imagine would look lovely with a tan, on holiday or on the beach. I know what palette I'm taking on holiday with me now.
I hope you enjoy!

I used Sand Timer on the inner part of my lid and Chandler on the outer part. I then took MAC's Brun eyeshadow (as I found I needed something to deepen the crease and the palette did lack a good brown eyeshadow!) in the crease and outer V. I then took Chandler again on top of the brun. I blended it all together and used the Puro Amor Autograph Pencil to create the winged liner. It is honestly so smooth and easy to use. I used You Alone to highlight my brow bone and added a dab of Forgiveness to the centre of the lid to give the illusion of rounder fuller eyes :)

I hope you liked this look, its really made me pine for summer and being able to wear something other than jumpers, coats and boots!

If you are a US lovely, Sephora stocks the Poetica palette here for $36.00 working out at around $4.50 each per eyeshadow AND you get a free eyeliner too! In the UK? Fear not! Roses Beauty Store is stocking this along with lots of other Sephora/US make up goodness. You can get it here for £36.00.

Hope you didn't mind me not wearing false lashes this time! I wanted something more beachy and down to earth :)

    1. I don't haha :) I do use a setting on my camera called soft skin which sort of blurs - its a godsend! But I can't stand those airbrushed skin photos so I hope it doesn't look like that haha!
