Urban Decay "Oz The Great & Powerful" Palette Theodora Look

Hey everyone. So much like the Glinda Palette, I wanted to experiment with the Theodora palette and see what sort of looks I could create. I found this palette was a lot easier to work with to create some smokey eyes and also some neutral eye looks too. So I wanted to create something the complete opposite of the look I create with Glinda which was a bit girly, bright and for lack of a better word... fairy-esque. I wanted this look to be a bit more representative of Theodora, which is darker, edgier but still wearable and effortless.

Onto the look!

A shot of the lashes, since people seem to like these sort of photos. These were the Katy Perry "Oh Honey" lashes, used for about the 20th time! *excuse their scruffiness*

Sorry I didn't take any full faced pictures. I've had an awful flu type thing all week and my skin/nose/entire face has been really affected! But I really did like this look on myself and would definitely wear it out at night or sheer it out a little more for daytime. I hope you enjoyed this look as much I did creating it!

Let me know if there are any other palettes you'd like to see looks from and I can do my best to rustle something up!

  1. Wow - that's stunning, really like it :) I want this palette soooo much, but can't really justify it as already have the naked one, the ammo and a few UD shadows on their own! xx

    1. You could probably easily dupe it I think especially with Naked. I'd use Naked/Buck in the crease, Virgin to highlight, Half baked on the lid to replace the gold. Dark horse in the crease and maybe smog in the outer V perhaps :)

  5. Im allowing myself one Oz palette, im like a UD palette clepto or something have to have every one and then hardly use any of them! This was going to be the one but looking at it here I don't think I need it with having the NAKED palette. What do you think? Shall I go for Glinda? Xx

    1. Hey Julie. I myself prefer the Theodora palette. You can read my thoughts on the Glinda palette here: http://www.blogofshadows.com/2013/02/urban-decay-oz-great-powerful-palettes.html but to sum up, I think the formulations in this one are better BUT very dupeable. If you want something different, I'd get the Glinda but maybe swatch it in person first to check you like the eyeshadows as some can be fall outey and very glittery! :)

  6. Such a beautiful look, although I dont think the palette would be really worth the money, as I dont thin I'd use the yellow or the greens.

    1. Yeah I'm gonna have a tough time using the greens as the lighter green is pretty sheer :/
