Lush Easter Review: Henata Bath Bomb

Hey everyone. Today I am reviewing, possibly, the funnest bath bomb in the entire world. I mean, c'mon! Its a chicken, a fun, huge sized, yellow and orange chicken! I warn you now though, this bath bomb has a surprise in it, much like the Golden Wonder Christmas bath bomb, so don't read on/view pictures if you would like that surprise to remain :)

Henata is inspired by the Mexican piƱatas tradition of children smashing model animals to get sweeties inside. I don't know how anyone can resist picking her up, she is bigger than your average bath bomb (coming at a bigger price tag though) and insanely adorable.
Scent wise, Henata is very tangy. Citrus is the main note with tangerine and mandarin which gives it an uplifting and awakening scent. I found it very enjoyable in the bath tub, but when I initially smelt her, I didn't really like the citrus-y smell so much. Put her in the tub however, she smells exactly like a satsuma being peeled! Lush say Henata is ideal to use in the mornings and I believe it, she will certainly wake you up!

The bath water is fun but I would have preferred something a bit different. The water turned a orangey, yellow colour bursting with dissolve-able soap flowers and two surprise mini bath bombs in the shape of mini eggs! That was a super fun surprise which had me smiling. The eggs fizzed out a lot slower so you will definitely notice them bobbing along instead of fizzing out quickly like their mother hen! The water did leave me a bit disappointed though, it runs more yellow than orange and I have a bit of a *thing* for yellow baths that I don't think I can get past! I would have loved a bright orange bath with cool swirly designs (much like The Enchanter) but beggars can't be choosers.

Overall I really liked Henata. She is something different and her scent is really pleasant and uplifting, perfect for spring! She is slightly more expensive than other bath bombs at £4.50, but she is a handful so I don't mind too much! You can purchase her at your local lush store or here online.

Will you be trying out Henata or any of the other Lush Spring products?

    1. Aww thats a shame, I thought it smelt exactly like peeled satsuma when it was in the bath but I didn't particularly like her when I initially smelt her.

  7. Ah this looks so cute! Yellow water is definitely a turn off for me though, it just doesn't seem right! Maybe if it was shimmery like Sunnyside I wouldn't mind so much :)
